Welcome
Graham, Anne-Marie and Molly Franks welcome you to The Kentish Hotel.
Situated at the bottom end of Queen Street in Waiuku the verandas of the hotel have commanding views of the tidal Waiuku Estuary.
Edward Constable built the hotel in 1851 as a ‘home away from home’. He applied for a license to sell liquor in 1853 and that license is still in place today – more than 160 years on. That means The Kentish Hotel holds the longest continuous liquor license in New Zealand.
The Kentish Hotel is a welcoming place to eat, drink and enjoy the history as told by the many regulars or as it is portrayed through the many historic photos and images that are displayed throughout the building.
Come and meet the Franks Family and discover for yourself the charm of the hotel. Waiuku is less than one hours drive from Auckland and makes the perfect day trip.
